Raise your productivity; tip for a great start of your day!
Raising your personal productivity is one of my core focuses as coach. I have found that in order to boost effectiveness it is key to start the day off right, and making a daily to-do list will help you do just that!
Besides making sure you have a nutritious breakfast that‘ll will last you a while, there is another very important moment in your early morning routine: it’s the moment you turn on your computer. Email and the internet (yes indeed facebook) can be enormous time-suckers and in order to get the most out of your day we need to make sure you can stay out of the hands of these time-vampires!
Make sure that before you start your workday (and turn on your computer) you make yourself a to-do list (idealy on a piece of paper). This will create the focus you'll need to optimize your time and limit the effect time-suckers like facebook and your email can have. So, when you sit down behind you computer, have your to-do list in front of you and start picking away at it. When email starts coming in or your facebook friends desperately want to share their lunch with you…. your To-Do list will serve as a constant reminder of the goals and tasks you want to achieve that day. This way you will stick with them and you will not end up wondering what you have actually done that day byt the time you sit down for dinner.
And yes this note is hanging on my computer screen, so it reminds me to better have a To Do list before I turn it on. Have a great start of you week.
